(ĐN)- On the morning of September 19, the working delegation of the National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Hung, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee, conducted a survey of fire prevention, fighting (PCCC) and rescue work in Bien Hoa city to absorb and revise the Draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting, Rescue and Rescue.

Accordingly, the working group visited Mao Furniture Export Company Limited, specializing in the production of exported wooden furniture in Long Binh Ward with nearly 400 workers.
Here, the members of the delegation discussed with the business representatives about the advantages and difficulties in fire prevention and fighting – rescue work during the business’s production and business activities. Through the survey, the delegation noted that the business had complied well with current fire prevention and fighting regulations from personnel organization to fire prevention and fighting equipment system.
On the same morning, the survey group also visited and worked with the Fire Prevention and Fighting – Rescue Steering Committee of Thong Nhat Ward.
At the meeting, the locality also basically agreed with the draft law on fire prevention and fighting. However, from practice, the locality also made a number of recommendations to the survey group such as: the number of service business establishments in the area is large while the force in charge of fire prevention and fighting is both lacking in quantity and weak in expertise, so the inspection process encountered many difficulties.
For example, this is an area where the number of karaoke establishments, beer clubs, hotels, motels, massage parlors, etc. is up to nearly 100 establishments. Meanwhile, the civil defense force has not been effective in fire prevention and fighting due to the lack of appropriate support policies; in many small alleys in residential areas, if a fire occurs, it is very difficult to handle and extinguish the fire because specialized vehicles have difficulty accessing the fire scene.
The locality also recommended reducing the fine for small establishments because in reality, the inspection and decision to impose fines in the past have not been very feasible.
Also at the survey session, the survey team members discussed with the locality a number of solutions to ensure effective fire prevention and fighting in practice.
In the afternoon of the same day, the survey team continued to have a working session with the People’s Committee of Bien Hoa city.
